Safety in times of storm pt 2

Jonah 1:4-6
Introduction:
in the previous part of this lecture, we established that whenever there is a storm, people will begin to run up and down looking for solution. In fact, they will begin to ask all kinds of question without an answer.
We also established that:
– in this time of storm, you are secured.
– the time we are now is similar to the time of Jonah
– the whole world is facing a storm of covid-19 pandemic
– people are asking a lot of questions more than the answers
– people pleading with those on the side of god that they cry to their god for mercies.
– there is a god who can protect from storm
– you will not go with this storm…
And we also established the following points:
1. God is the possessor of heaven and earth
2. God is the compassionate and merciful god
3. God is the saviour of the world
From the scripture we discovered that our god can save from shame disgrace – 2 kings4:1-7.
I do not know the kind of shame and disgrace the enemy is bringing upon you: but i have good news for you, my father will deliver you from it. – Isaiah 54
Who is this god i am talking about?
1. He can save you from shame and disgrace
- He can save you from noisome pestilence – psalm 91, 2sam, 24:15-16
- He can deliver you from fiery furnace – dan. 3, isaiah 43:2
Conclusion:
I want all of us to put our trust in god because if you can put your trust in god and pray, he will surely save you from shame and disgrace.
Prayers:
1. Father arise and save me from shame and disgrace in this month.
- Every garment of shame and disgrace the enemy is planning robe us with, catch fire in the name of Jesus
- Father chapter of disgrace in my life and my family close it permanently
- Father in this month, release the grace not to depart from your presence unto me
- Father, you are the stiller of storm, deliver us from the storm ravaging the world today
- Father give me peace
- Father protect all health workers in this period
- Father strengthen all state and the federal government
- Father decorate me with glory and honour
- I cover myself and my family with the blood of Jesus, father deliver us from noisome pestilence
- In this month, the fire of the enemy will not consume me
- Father give me the grace to trust in you at this crucial moment in the name of Jesus
